If you’re the kind of guy who finds himself flopping down on the couch after a sweat session rather than jumping right into the shower, we have bad news for you. Sweat production creates a layer over your skin that traps dirt and oils, causing all that junk to travel down into your pores. This not only makes your pores expand, but also clog and cause breakouts. Workout + hygiene laziness = gnarly skin. The good news is post-workout grooming doesn’t have to take more than a minute (depending on how quickly you shower). Sixty seconds. You do have the time.

We caught up with Andrea Ortega Costigan, an aesthetician based in San Francisco (who happens to be married to a taekwondo black belt) about the easiest way for dudes to clean up after the gym in no time at all. Here are the four post-workout grooming products to throw in your gym bag to have you looking, feeling and smelling 💯 after a hard workout.

  • Dr. Bronner’s Pure-Castile Soap ($4.49)
This soap makes you feel clean unlike any other, with a refreshing, cool minty tingle that’s jarring at first, but will make you look forward to showering. Plus, it clears your skin and sinuses in one fell swoop.
  • Ole Henriksen Grease Relief Cleansing Cloths ($8)
Cleaning the grime off your face post-workout is as easy as one swipe of these exfoliating wipes. They absorb pore-clogging dirt and oils and smell like eucalyptus — refreshing af and easy af.
  • Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer with SPF 30 ($31)
Slap on some moisturizer after using the wipes—they strip your skin of oils and dirt, but you need to restore a barrier on your skin before going back out into the world. Kiehl’s makes great, lightweight and odor-neutral moisturizers. Plus, this stuff has SPF, so you’ll be safe from sun exposure.
  • Jack Black Pit Boss Antiperspirant/Deodorant ($17)
Sometimes your body takes a minute to stop sweating after a workout, even post-shower. Keep that shit on lock with this deodorant that’s hypoallergenic, goes on clear, and smells fresh to death.
